On May 27, 2026, SAC/TC114 (Automotive) issued summary of the standard updates of the TC in April, including several mandatory national standards that shall directly impact the country’s market access and product compliance requirements for automotive products.
The full list of standard/standard projects that have updates in TC114 is summarized with key information, and nine standards have been published by the National Standardization Administration of China (SAC) for implementation, including 3 mandatory standards:

In the meantime, the working group of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) of TC114/SC34 (Intelligent and Connected Vehicle) held a working meeting to discuss and advance several on-going standard projects. More than 120 experts from domestic and international vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers, testing institutions, and research institutes attended the meeting. Some of the standard projects that have been discussed for next steps include:
- 20253094-Q-339 Technical requirements and testing methods for advanced emergency braking system of heavy-duty vehicles (revision of GB/T 38186-2019)
- 20261956-Q-339 Intelligent and connected vehicle — Safety requirements for parking combined driving assistance system (revision of GB/T 41630-2022)
- 20262948-Q-339 Intelligent and connected vehicle — Safety requirements for automated parking system
Besides the mandatory standards that are approved for publication, it is also advised for foreign stakeholders to notice that several existing ICV standards are also planned for revision. In addition, the one of the key focus of TC114/SC34 is the ADAS, and more specific and detailed technical requirements are expected to be published under this topic.
