On October 16, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China issued the Announcement No. 48 of 2026 (hereinafter referred to as "the Announcement"), launching the public consultation on the proposed revision of the Catalogue of Technologies Prohibited and Restricted from Export (hereinafter referred to as "the Catalogue").The proposal covers 40 technologies across three sectors — 23 in artificial intelligence (AI), five in biomedicine and 12 in photovoltaics (PV) — of which 14 are proposed to be prohibited from export and 26 to be restricted, meaning exportable only upon a government license. Comments will be accepted until November 15, 2026.

On September 14, 2026, the Radio Regulation Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued a notice to call for public comments on the draft revision of the Provisions of the People’s Republic of China on Radio Frequency Allocation. The revision is intended to promote the development of radio technologies, ensure the normal operation of radio services and address China’s medium- and long-term spectrum needs, while incorporating outcomes of the 2023 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-23). Public comments will be accepted until October 14, 2026.

On September 23, 2026, the National Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) issued an announcement to publish two revised China Compulsory Certification (CCC) implementation rules: CNCA-C10-01:2026 Compulsory Certification Implementation Rules — Luminaires (Trial) and CNCA-C10-02:2026 Compulsory Certification Implementation Rules — Ballasts (Trial). The New Rules will become mandatory for relevant CCC certification activities from January 1, 2027.
